HARM REDUCTION

The Dysphoric Project is committed to providing high-quality, well-researched harm reduction education that considers female biology. Harm reduction is an evidence based, public health approach designed to reduce the potential negative effects of drug use. Harm reduction is applicable to both legal and illegal drugs and seeks to educate in an effort to reduce harm.

Our guides cover psychedelic harm reduction for female biology and related conditions. Very little is known about the female body and psychedelics, but there is preliminary data which suggests increased bioavailability in women. The menstrual cycle and related conditions - especially PMDD - may impact bioavailability further. Because of this, we believe women should exercise caution with dose and timing, especially if they have premenstrual conditions. More details are outlined in the guides below.
